went for a HCI-NY combined conference today.

it was odd but cool walking with ny tchers & seeing my hc tchers! met ms tsang, mr koh and all the chinese teachers :DDD saw mr loy from afar but didn't get to greet him :/ waved to linlaoshi but didn't get to talk to him at all! ):

then linlaoshi presented on OCIP nanjing! felt so nostalgic seeing all the photos from my batch, and photos of the kids taken by the '10 batch. he showed the audience photos of the library & the article i wrote (: ahh felt so touched that he actually cared to mention me (several times) in his presentation! and then my NY teachers started asking me qns about the OCIP. feel so proud! :D

oh yiling & charmaine were featured in some photos in linlaoshi's presentation!

in any case, we (the '09 batch) were kinda like the 先锋 who went to 探路 first and did a good job of it (: now that they're planning to make it an annual and continuous thing, we hope our legacy can be passed down to generations of juniors! and im really really proud to have led the wonderful '09 team. :D

i guess it's the dedication and months of hard work that made me feel such a strong sense of ownership towards the OCIP. and maybe cos that year it was only me & huijuan and we had to plan everything from scratch because of the principal. or perhaps it's cos i've learnt so much from it i can't bear to let it go! it's gonna be part of me wherever i go. (:


the iPad presentation i helped my teacher mentor with went well! can tell she was abit nervous with both the principals plus ST reporters sitting in. but she managed to finish the presentation in a professional manner (: im so happy for her! in return she mentioned me in front of all my NY & HC teachers again.

i rly think she deserves to be promoted for all the hard work she's put into this new project! she's spent so much time exploring the functionalities of the iPad that she's much better at using it than the kids. i'll do my best to aid her in exploring the iPad in the upcoming weeks too. :D


okay time to finish marking the kids' zuowens.
will be taking one of the two lessons tmr, good news for hweeyanne who wants to sit in :D wish me luck!
